Senior People Partner.


Working at a senior level you would provide a strategic partnering service to senior leader, enabling a wellbeing focused and high-performance culture in line with the wellbeing, culture and people strategy and Force priorities.


What you'll do

  • Design, develop and implement people activity across allocated business areas to support business areas in delivering plans so that we deliver our strategic vision and protect our community
  • Coach and support operational leads, managers and colleagues using people analytics & insight as well as legislation, policy and evidencebased practice to advice on the development of strategies
  • Manage and support Senior People Advisors and People Advisor, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, behaviours and experience to be productive in their role and reach their full potential.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with key specialists to ensure that approaches, tools and policies are aligned, enhance employee engagement and improve organisational performance
  • Lead and advise upon the people aspects of organisation transformation and change programmes including, restructuring and TUPE. As well as the review, development and successful implementation of progressive people policies and processes.
  • Coach and build the capability of senior managers to anticipate and preempt employment issues and to understand and anticipate the need for change.
  • Support and champion implementation of the organisation's strategic objectives and ambitions regarding DE&I and wellbeing. Working with managers and teams to develop an inclusive culture and support individual needs
  • Oversee the management of complex cases by the senior people advisers, providing expert advice and guidance to both managers and people colleague and participate in final stage meetings across a broad range of employee relations matters such as grievance and misconduct.
  • Liaise with the policy team to ensure our policies enable effective working and support out people
  • Deputise for the People Partnering and Wellbeing Lead where necessary

What you'll bring

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or experience working at a strategic and senior role
  • CIPD level 5 qualification & Charted Member CIPD
  • Specialist knowledge of current and emerging employment law and best practice issues
  • Ability to understand data and how to develop this into effective information in which to base decisions
  • Ability to transla
