Performance Analyst - Private Equity

London

The role:

The Performance team is part of the Risk department and is responsible for calculating the firm's performance track record globally


The Performance Associate will play a vital role in supporting senior members of the team in producing analytics on the entire family of funds, strategies and products.

This provides the business with a clear indicator of the drivers of performance fromthe underlying company level, all the way up to the investor level.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Calculation and oversight of quarterly performance track records for products/ strategies.
  • Collaborate with investment teams on adhoc analysis concerning the performance trackrecord of their strategies and funds
  • Respond to ad hoc performance requests from internal teams, and indirectly to clients' and consultants' queries in collaboration with Investor Relations and Marketing.
  • Responding to Request For Proposals (RFP), and Request For Information (RFI) from external consultants and clients. Attend premeetings with the RFP team/investment teams and provide input on how to respond to questions on the firm's performance trackrecord/ Funds under Management
  • Key contributor on project work (advanced performance analytics, creation of proforma track records to support new fundraising, systems enhancements, process automation), and provide support where required to senior members of the team on these projects

Knowledge and Experience Required:


  • Educated to degree level / Professional qualification is desirable (e.g. CFA, CAIA, CIPM, IMC)
  • Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills. Confidently build, navigate and manipulate complex spreadsheets
  • Able to organise and analyse large sets of complex data in order to produce simple and insightful solutions
  • Clearly and concisely communicate performancerelated concepts to key stakeholders (up to Partner level)

The below is diserable, but not an absolute requirement:

  • Good understanding of the Private Equity investment process and the PE market
  • Detailed knowledge of Private Equity benchmarking methodologies
