- Mentor and provide guidance to two junior team members, including one trainee.
- Handle legal matters pertaining to Maritime Law, with a focus on sea freight operations.
- Draft and negotiate contracts related to logistics, including sea, air, and road transportation.
- Manage issues such as loss of Bill of Lading's and Committed Volume Agreements.
- Address debt matters and customs-related ports.
- Ensure compliance with sanctions and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Maritime Law, with a strong emphasis on sea freight operations.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts.
- Familiarity with logistics matters including sea, air, and road transportation.
- Knowledge of debt matters and customs-related ports.
- Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in sanctions and compliance is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills.
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 4+ years experience working in dry shipping matters.
