We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our growing Transport Planning and Sustainable Mobility team in either London, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff or Exeter.


Your role

Working as part of a team of Administrators, you will be required to undertake a wide range of duties to support technical staff.


  • The role has two main focus areas.
In the area of commercial support you will be assisting project managers to comply with a core financial processes including (but not limited to):

  • Setting up prospects/proposals/wins within the financial management system. This is currently Time Master but will switch to Vantage Point later in 202
  • Before work commences: ensuring fee proposals are submitted and agreed, the required instruction/purchase order is received, contracts are signed as part of the instruction and so on.
  • Working closely with the broader finance team to facilitate regular WIP reviews, invoicing and debt collection.
  • Preparing and processing data as needed.
The other support area is general administrative tasks.

Related duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with meeting logistics, minutes and actions
  • Assisting with preparing reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals and correspondence as well as formatting, scanning, copying, proof reading and issuing of reports and other documents
  • Assisting staff in maintaining files and databases along with filing and archiving/retrieving project documents
  • Coordinating as needed with staff from other SLR technical teams and shared services departments

About you
To be successful within the role, you will ideally have/ be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in business administration and project commercial support
  • Have great attention to detail, with excellent spelling and grammar
  • Be a confident user of the full Microsoft suite alongside willing to engage with, and learn new systems
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
