As the Commodity Specialist - MI&A, you'll be responsible for:
- Ensure delivery of standard and Ad-hoc, streamlined financial reporting
- Support financial modelling processes and monitor progress versus key metrics.
- Support the automation of the commodities and material cost modelling processes alongside internal Analytics Team colleagues an opportunity to develop Analytical skillset including Tableau and Google Big Query.
- Provide high quality financial analytics to the business and calculate the financial sensitivities, understanding key value levers to achieve financial, operational and strategic objectives
- Conduct root cause analysis of variances and overseeing course correction
- Identify areas for continuous improvement within their sphere of influence and area of expertise
- Adhere to the policies, controls and governance
- Provide direction and guidance to wider team members as you collaborate with them to deliver customer requirements, maximising their motivation and performance
- Leverage findings to uncover actionable insights
- Collaborate and communicate across department and function to drive great decision making
- Be a trusted source of knowledge for Finance Business Partners and Service Delivery Team in the sphere of Commodities and Material Cost.
- Use own initiative taking responsibility of tasks and escalating where appropriate
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Professional Accounting qualification (completed or in progress)
- Able to collaborate with a broad variety of stakeholders working across JLR Finance
- Strong numerical, analytical skills
- Continuous improvement 'mind set' with the ability to proactively identify issues and resolve
- Ability to multitask, work accurately at speed and under pressure
- Able to work with Manager to plan workload effectively
- Data analytics or data science aptitude
- Strong Excel experience required
