Are you an experienced and confident administrator looking for a new challenge? Come and join us in our 'CQC rated Outstanding' Trust as an Administrator and valued member of the People Directorate.

We need someone with excellent organisation and communication skills to support our People Business Manager and Director of People.


You should already have knowledge and experience of using a variety of software Microsoft Office programmes/packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

You would also have knowledge and experience of managing diaries, taking meeting minutes and managing office systems to the highest standards.

You'll need to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, both within Berkshire Healthcare and the organisations we work with.


This is a part time role, working 18.75 hours a week (2.5 days a week), of which one must include a Friday.


In line with our hybrid working policy, much of your time in this role will be based at home, but you will be required when necessary to attend meetings face to face.

To work closely with and support the day-to-day work of the People Directorate Business Manager and Director of People


To be a central point of contact for the People Directorate business management team and maintain relationships across the directorate, assisting in the development and maintenance of efficient and effective office procedures.


Plan and arrange meetings and events which may be internal of external to the service, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made, such as room bookings, refreshments and travel etc.


Full diary management for the Director of People and booking of meetings and where necessary, venues, for members of the senior leadership team.


Attend designated meetings both on teams and face to face where the information may be complex and sensitive, taking and transcribing minutes.

Distribute information prior to and after meetings in a timely way.

Type confidential correspondence, reports and other documentation to a high standard within agreed timescales.

The "must haves" for this role:
NVQ3, equivalent qualification or previous knowledge and experience of workings in an office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties which must include diary management

Proactive approach and able to act with discretion around sensitive and confidential information

Knowledge and experience of using a variety of software Microsoft Office programmes/packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to work effectively in a team and to work unsupervised and on initiative, managing own workload
