Description

Brockholes is Lancashire Wildlife Trust's flagship nature reserve, and is also home to an award-winning, floating Visitor Village, which plays host to a lakeside cafe and shop, conference, wedding and event venue.

As Kitchen Assistant you will assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking food for the cafe and conference centre as well as ensuring the kitchen be kept clean and organised, with the highest of standards maintained throughout.

As part of the role you will also be trained to assist in preparing food for weddings as well as being trained in running the kitchen in the absence of the Head chef.

This is both a varied and interesting role and requires someone with experience and understanding of working within a similar role, with the enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

The role is to be offered on a 6 month initial contract with a view to becoming permanent and will be 22 hours minimum per week, working on a variable shift pattern.
