    Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Grade D SCP 7 £24,294 – SCP 10 £25,545 Hours: 36 Hours per Week all year round

    St Raphaels Catholic Primary School, Stalybridge Closing Date : 26th April 2024 Assessment Date : 2nd May 2024 The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and hardworking Site Manager who can lead others, to join our committed, supportive and friendly staff team. The successful candidate will liaise with the Headteacher and School Business Manager (SBM) and Governors to maintain, develop and manage the school grounds and site. The post involves working a split shift pattern of;

    • am and pm, Monday to Friday during term time (Friday finish at 5.45pm)
    • 8:00am – 3.45pm with 30 minutes for lunch during school holidays (Friday finish at 3.30pm) We are looking for someone who;
    • Can undertake simple building and maintenance tasks and is skilled at DIY
    • Is approachable, friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking and a good communicator
    • Has the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise
    • Is able to relate to both adults and children and liaise with contractors on site
    • Is organised and efficient and has the ability to work independently and unsupervised
    • Has a good knowledge of health and safety regulations and monitoring
    • Can take responsibility for a small team of cleaners
    • Can plan and ensure the completion of regular cleaning/maintenance schedules
    • Has a 'can do' attitude and is responsive to the ever changing requirements of a busy school
    • Is able to support our Catholic ethos, equal opportunities and all school policies and procedures,including safeguarding. Previous premises management experience would be an advantage and a clean driving licence and your own transport are essential. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out all the responsibilities of a key holder. Informal enquiries and visits to school are most welcome.
