Description

We have a great opportunity for a Regulatory Advice & Policy Specialist to join the Regulatory Advice & Policy Team in the Risk & Regulatory Division.

Competitive salary based on level of experience.

There are 2 roles available, one on a permanent basis and the other on a 12-month secondment basis to support the team during a significant period of transformation.

Whilst compliance experience is desirable, it is not essential.

We would encourage individuals with strong business knowledge in key areas of the Society with an interest in moving into a regulatory / compliance role to apply.

Training would be provided on the other aspects of the role as required.

Wesleyan is on an exciting transformation journey. We have ambitious plans to grow our business to deliver even better outcomes for our customers and our people.

This role will offer opportunities to work across Advice, Insurance and Investment entities, with no two days being the same.

You will advise, guide and support the business on regulatory or technical matters connected with both the day to day running of the business and also the shaping of our future strategy and transformation journey.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying legislative/regulatory changes, developments and announcements arising from relevant sources (for example the FCA, PRA, HMRC, HM Treasury, the Department for Work & Pensions) and conduct analysis to determine the impact on the Group.
  • Effectively communicating details on legislative/regulatory developments to relevant business areas in a timely manner.
  • Providing oversight, advice and guidance on technical and regulatory compliance matters on a wide range of topics including: the provision of financial advice to customers; process change initiatives; sales initiatives; marketing campaigns; strategy and product proposition.
  • Reviewing and signing off of a variety of documentation, including financial promotions, client disclosure, advice guidelines, training material, business requirements, policy and executive reports.
