PRODUCTION CO-ORDINATOR - APPAREL, ACCESSORIES, AND FOOTWEAR (MENS AND WOMENS)

Our client is a growing fashion brand with more than ten years behind them, inspired by the outdoors, designing unique clothing influenced by the seaside and rolling Purbeck hills.
Ideally will have worked within the fashion industry in a production/technical environment for at least four years. Reporting to and working directly with the Head of Production. Potential for some over sees travel on occasions.

Below is a list of core responsibilities, however the nature of the role means that the list is not exhaustive:

  • Managing and monitoring all aspects of the production critical path from bulk purchase order raising through to delivery of bulk production
  • ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Liaising with all onshore and offshore vendors daily.
  • Analyse and distribute technical packs with overseas factories
  • Approve/risk assessment of bulk strike offs, bulk fabrics, and lab dips with the Head of Production during preproduction stages of CP.
  • Chase salesman, PP's samples, and shipment samples, and advising comments at each sample stage. Analysing samples assessing these against the technical pack issued.
  • Seasonally, help raise factory POs alongside Head of Production
  • Place bulk orders and maintaining all Critical Path dates and identifying risks in movements in key dates ensuring stakeholders stake holders are made aware when necessary.
  • Will be responsible for monitoring all quality aspects of in housed production from style inception to bulk production.
  • Liaise with the Design and Technical Teams, following the product lifecycle from initial concept through to realisation, advising on fabric/constructional improvements and mitigating risk to end users in all product categories wherever feasible.
  • Update warehouse with weekly delivery forecasts/packing lists.
  • Manage inhouse testing and coordination of 3rd party labs for testing of fabrics from sampling & bulk
- escalating failures, and actively seeking solutions within a commercially aware context alongside the Head of Production.

  • Create care labels and disclaimers based on predetermined risk assessments/3rd part testing/inhouse testing/wear trials of specific product.
  • Find and update Commodity Codes/HS Codes for fabrics & garments feeding into Master sales/import documentation.
  • Prepare swatch cards of bulk fabric when approved for style files
- ensuring detailed archives are kept for inhouse reference.

  • Assist the Production team and Technical teams as needed with daytoday tasks/priority changes.
  • Continue to Develop an understanding of risk assessments and quality/safety standards within each product category balanced against the specific limitations of each vendor in our supply base.
  • Carry out inhouse QC checks on in housed bulk production

You as a person:

  • Experience in the industry, specifically having knowledge of garment/accessories/footwear construction.
  • Have an established understanding of fabrics, print techniques, trims constructions, and testing.
  • Be able to work independently with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be organised with a positive "can do" attitude to daily and hourly changes in priorities.
  • Approach challenges with commerciality, and logic, understanding the impacts of decisions on the wider business.
  • Must have a solutionoriented approach to work.
  • Possess acute attention to detail and numeracy.
  • Be computer literate with strong Excel skills.
  • Be well organised and have good prioritisation skills.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Great at building relationships and working crossfunctionally as part of a wider team.
