Job Purpose and Overview
The main purpose of this role is to work as a team with an experienced Legal Executive within our Residential Conveyancing team, assisting them to manage the caseloads they are responsible for.
In this role you will be proactive in delivering an exceptional service to clients dealing with their sales and purchase transactions.
You will also have the opportunity to be involved in assisting with Leasehold work. Training will be provided for the Leasehold work. You will have a keen eye for detail with an efficient, effective and positive manner.Key tasks and Accountabilities
- Working in a team with a Legal Executive to support in all aspects of the daytoday running of files
- Responsibility for dealing with sale and purchase transactions from instruction through to completion
- Undertaking Exchange of Contracts
- Communicating with Clients, Agents, Brokers and Solicitors on a daytoday basis
- Providing updates and general advice
- Working with our internal Case Management System and assisting clients to manage their case via our smartphone app
Person Specification
- You will have 1 to 2 years experience of working as a Legal Assistant in Conveyancing. You will be given the opportunity to further develop your legal career with us
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to set own priorities for the day ahead
- Strong common sense and logical approach to considering situations
- Good time management skills to ensure deadlines and turnaround times are achieved
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deal with difficult customers, previous customer service experience is desirable
- Good telephone skills with a friendly and approachable manner, keen to generate an excellent first impression

Salary and benefits
- We offer a competitive salary within a salary scale that allows ongoing progression
- A starting annual leave entitlement of 31 days (including bank holidays) increasing by a further 2 weeks with service
- Fulltime hours which are lower than many employers at 35 hours per week over Monday to Friday
- We operate a noncontractual bonus scheme which you will benefit from after completion of our settling in period
