    Key Responsibilities The Experiment Immunology department is actively searching for a Scientist, on a fixed term maternity cover contract, to join one of the target discovery teams at Immunocore.

    With support from colleagues, you will help generate and implement a suite of in vitro immune cell assays and cancer cell models to aid validation of drug targets and ImmTAC characterisation.

    You will play a vital role in conducting in vitro pharmacology studies designed to elucidate parameters important for ImmTAC therapeutic efficacy.

    The candidate will be an enthusiastic, active learner, keen to take on new challenges and learn new techniques, skills, and areas of biology.

    The post holder should possess theoretical, practical, and conceptual knowledge in immunology and/or cancer biology, and have demonstrable experience of implementing immunological assays to dissect oncology problems.

    The candidate will be technically proficient, scientifically creative, capable of independent thought and have a collaborative work ethic. This post provides a fantastic opportunity for both scientific and personal development.
    Collaborate with colleagues to help build knowledge around drug targets and validation of ImmTAC of strategic interest to Immunocore


    • Keep up to date with scientific literature and the latest developments in applicable fields
    • Well-versed in fundamentals of immunology and cancer cell biology
    • Experience in testing the effects of therapeutic molecules via immunoassay techniques (e.g. Proficient in cell culture and utilising in vitro models to dissect biology and test hypotheses
    • Experience in Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)
    • Pharma or biotech laboratory experience
    • Some experience in molecular biology and biochemistry
    PhD or equivalent in Immunology, Molecular Cell Biology, Oncology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related discipline. #
