We are looking for someone to join our small but friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated Governance Team who manage the legal process for the holding of Council and other meetings including assembling agendas, writing minutes and managing the technology.

In time you will become directly responsible for the administration of a number of Committees and related bodies and you will also be asked to undertake support for other members of the Team and carry out research and project work.

The service requires an enthusiastic and motivated team player to work at the heart of the Authority alongside, senior officers, Parish and Town Councils and members of the public and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for the Governance Team so will need to be approachable and an excellent communicator.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and a keen interest in, local authority decision-making together with an ability to approach politically sensitive issues with diplomacy and tact.
