    Job Purpose

    • Support the HR & Engagement Partner in the delivery of professional HR support and advisory service to site location teams and WFH teams.
    • Providing first line contact on all People related queries and issues, maintaining consistency across internal processes, and legal requirements (not admin)

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    • Provide first line generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters in a timely and consistent manner.
    • Provide guidance and insight to the HR Central Admin team.
    • Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best practice.
    • Coordinate the management of employee cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence. This includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedure and legislation, liaising with Occupational Health, supporting formal investigations and hearings*
    • Address complex and serious employee cases through to the Employee Relations Central Team; and ensure a detailed handover is in place.
    • Maintain the relevant case logs, and data systems relating to HR activity, and ensure accurate records on the HR systems.
    • Assess absence and attendance data, acting as the first stage support for managers, monitoring and addressing attendance performance concerns to enable performance targets to be achieved.
    • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of people decisions using performance data / indicators and implementations of process improvements.
    • Support restructures, redundancy and exiting employees from the business in line with employment legislation; under the guidance of the ER Central Team*
    • Produce regular HR Reporting metrics and data; for dashboards and board packs; liaising with Operational teams on trends, patterns and concerns.
    • Ensure continuous development of knowledge on employment law and HR best practice
    • Ensure that the relevant administration is undertaken accurately and timely in line with relevant timescales; critical focus on accuracy of information**
    • Ensure confidentiality of personnel records and general personnel information in line with GDPR and IMS processes.
    • To support the HR & Engagement Manager with Connect & Communicate Sessions, workshops, site based activities and events. This includes upskilling sessions, Workshops, HR Drop in Centres, EAC's and any Diversity and inclusion events.
    • To act in a professional manner at all times in order to promote a positive image of the Company.
    • To deal with any other duties which do not change the nature of this post.
