The Old Mill is a picturesque Wedding and Events Venue situated in West Berkshire; providing excellent service to customers and their guests.

Shifts are distributed on a 0-hour basis with a choice of weekdays, weekends and evenings available.

Previous experience is essential.

Access to own transportation is beneficial due to venue location.

£12.00 / hr


Responsibilities:

• Oversee evening operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction until close.
• Train, supervise and work alongside bar staff, maintaining high standards of professionalism and performance.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere, engaging with customers and handling any issues or concerns and subsequently, reporting to venue management where necessary.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other staff and suppliers to ensure a high standard of service is provided for guests during the evening reception.
• Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both staff and patrons.
• Handle cash appropriately, following end of service procedures and security of funds.
• Be responsible for turnaround procedures at the event finish time. Adhering to the following event requirements as informed by management.
• Following training by management, you may be expected to close the venue securely at the end of service ensuring all closing tasks have been completed and all guests are off the premises.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry as bar team is essential.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and work with a team.
• Good knowledge of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages with an enthusiasm for the appearance and service of drinks.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
