RSD Recruitment are working with a leading plant company to recruit for an HGV Technician in the Welwyn Garden City depot The client are a well-established business who have recently increased in growth massively and are looking for skilled technicians

The successful applicant will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of the client's fleet of HGVs, RCVs, Gritters, Tippers and Sweepers in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines and supporting Company Policies.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (45 hours per week)

8am

5pm / 7am
4pm (can be flexible)

Plenty of overtime available

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

To Maintain and repair Specialist HGV's including RCV's, Gritters, Tippers and Sweepers in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines and supporting Company Policies.

Ensure vehicles are maintained above the minimum standards required by the DVSA between scheduled service/inspection dates to support existing third-party servicing arrangements.

Provide standby and out of hours callout cover when required (van supplied)

Ensure vehicles and plant are maintained in line with the service planner and company policies

Have the opportunity to work on a range of vehicles from light commercial to HGV vehicles

Always ensure Health & Safety compliance

Technical Skills:
Experienced mechanic (Level 3 qualified)

Be familiar with modern fault code reader diagnostic systems

Have a wide range knowledge of light vehicles to HGV chassis manufacturers and specialist equipment mounted on vehicles, plant and other specialist municipal equipment

Hold a Category C driving licence
