Kantar's Worldpanel Division is making a huge technology investment updating our global online delivery platforms.

This brief calls for a client focused go-to-market campaign and related assets to land this new service with our full range of clients across the globe.

Our client service teams use our insight to consult clients on their marketing and business strategies, upselling additional services where needed.

Role description


The Head of QA will set out and manage the delivery of the test/acceptance strategy for executing all test phases and then parallel running across each region/multiple projects across the Worldpanel division, from data creation to visualisation of data for clients to configure and use.

The role will build on existing work to date and ensure that the programmes of work can be tagged as ready from an operational, business and client perspective by fulfilling various KPI's and Acceptance Criteria.

The role will require an approach that is driven by business and client needs and the requirement to work with both local teams and global teams.


Sharing and learning lessons from each region will be paramount to ensure consistency and efficiency of the future double production runs.


The person will report to the Senior Director - Technology & Transformation pillar whilst also partnering with Implementation Leads for each project/region, their implementation teams and escalating any issues through the governance process.


Success in the role will be partnering with the regions to ensure they are ready to accept the plan, a plan is in place to support the readiness and that there is clear 'go/no-go' criteria developed and met to ensure a successful launch.

It is also key to ensure that the readiness plan is reviewed to ensure it is realistic in terms of pre-launch, launch and post-launch activity.


  • Work as part of the tech leadership team to define and refine our values, approach to work, recruitment, and budget planning.
  • Build relationships with the key stakeholders to understand the business challenges, constraints and value that can be created from the teams.
  • Enable the QAs to be part of the whole journey of SDLC and help teams understand the difference between testing and quality
  • Coach the QA team to ask probing questions about functional and nonfunctional requirements using qualitive, quantitative data and experience, so they have the autonomy to work together to create value.
  • Mentoring and 121's with QA engineers, creating objectives for improving and learning new skills.
  • Planning and implementing succession plans.
  • Guide teams to work towards the four pillars, showing what "good" looks like.
  • Help teams understand how QA can help deliver value safely and quickly.
  • Contribute in the architectural design working with the Heads of and Principals.
  • Creating documents or visualisations to help teams understand the objectives, strategy, and vision.
Key outcomes

  • Define/Lead the Testing / business readiness and completion of test and validate phases followed by successful parallel run validation phase
  • Collaboratively work with Product Owners on the successful implementation on projects in Worldpanel division
  • Define and implement the key acceptance phase
  • Validate ETL's and data transfers through e2e process
  • Critical Business Testing, alignment with business teams to validate the platform capability and large data inputs
  • Provide insights into the Business Operational and Production Support Readiness
  • Work collaboratively across different areas, balancing competing priorities and managing relationships with a range of internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure delivery of key priorities
Capabilities

  • Work in partnership with the regional project managers to ensure all change components and tasks are validated and accepted
