    Food ManufacturingSupplier Quality Assurance ManagerCeredigion, West Wales / Hybrid c.£45k per annum plus car allowance BenefitsCar allowancePension SchemeLife Assurance Group Income Protection Bi-annual medicalsCycle Scheme Enhanced maternity & paternity leave Simply Health Cash Plan25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service Our client, a family-owned, fast-growing International Dairy Business, is looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to work on a hybrid basis at their site based in Ceredigion, West Wales (4 days per week and home based 1 day per week) .

    As part of the Factory Technical Team, the successful candidate will lead and manage the safety and quality of all raw materials and packaging supplied to the site.

    Reporting to the Technical Manager, the key responsibilities for the role include:
    Establishing close relations with the technical personnel at raw material suppliers and be the first point of contact ensuring delivery of a consistently safe, quality productDeveloping and maintaining key supplier technical and quality informationDeveloping and maintaining the supplier specification requirements, ensuring any changes are communicated to the raw material suppliersOperating an effective escalation process for supplier quality control non-compliance, including a daily data review and appropriate internal communication as well as maintaining clear communications with the raw material supplierOrchestrating and chairing a monthly supplier review ensuring supplier technical and quality data is reviewed and status assigned to drive continuous improvementLeading and developing an effective supplier audit programme covering all raw material suppliers and acting as a key link with the procurement teamConducting supplier audits to the defined schedule, reporting findings and non-compliance in a timely mannerDriving the development of an appropriate action plan with clear risk assessment, which actively supports agreed corrective and preventative actions, including adherence to deadlines for action closureActively contributing to the development of the HACCP pre-requisite programme and the HACCP food safety programmes at raw material suppliers where appropriateContributing to the investigation and resolution of quality, technical and manufacturing related problems at site Essential skills and experience include:Previous experience in a Technical or Supplier Management role working with raw materials within the food industry, dairy experience preferred but not essential

    Ideal Qualifications:
    Lead Auditor FSSC22000 and ISO9001, Level 3 Food Safety and Intermediate HACCP, or equivalent experience Supplier management experience, with the ability to build strong relationshipsExperience with food safety management systems and involvement in supplier audits, customer audits and external certification audits (e.g. BRC, FSSC22000, ISO9001, UFAS, FEMAS)

    Experience managing supplier non compliance and the escalation process, action plans and communicationAbility to work accurately, calmly and objectively under pressureConfident and assertive with the ability to manage a challenging situation in a professional manner The Company:

    Hybrid working is available working 1 day per week from home and 4 days a week from site.
