As a leader in investment management technology solutions, Charles River continues to expand its offerings, specifically in the portfolio management /construction space.

Reporting to a Product Manager, the Business Analyst will interact with clients – gathering requirements, providing documentation to detail these including workflows etc.

assisting pre-sales team and providing implementation team with guidance on new features to ensure projects are on a successful path.

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018.

CRD creates enterprise investment management solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management, asset owner and alternative managers.

Business Analyst – Portfolio Risk and Analytics

The Business Analyst will be responsible for synthesizing market requirements and working with the development team to deliver industry leading solutions.

The Business Analyst will also work closely with the operations team who run the service – making sure their needs are part of the resulting solution.

The Business Analyst is a pivotal role at Charles River helping drive product strategy, design, and development to meet market demand.

The Business Analyst will develop client relationships that will help drive the detailed requirements for this new offering.

Working with the product development team, the Business Analyst will define and prioritize the requirements and validate the resulting work.

Working in a dynamic, fast-paced (agile) environment, apply expertise in specific product areas to deliver a high-quality product
Partner with development to implement and refine features
Provide client beta testing support
Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Ability to develop and deliver complex commercial software to demanding clients.
Engages and energizes the product management/engineering organization to drive towards successfully meeting client and market needs.
Advanced degree in mathematical finance or business
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role within Investment Management
Good understanding of financial investment products across asset classes including derivatives
Understanding of investment management workflows highly desirable
Prior industry experience with portfolio risk and analytics, either with risk vendor or an asset management firm
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills, ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector
Flexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular business hours
Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills
