Key responsibilities in the role of the
Management Accountant, will include:

  • Management of month end processes and analysis
  • Analysis of monthly results including stock reconciliation and overhead analysis
  • Preparation of monthly midmonth forecast process with commentary
  • Support the detailed budget and forecasting process for Ingredients
  • Detailed monitoring of all actual results against forecasted to fully understand all movements (e.g. commodity prices, volumes)
  • Support the Financial Controller
  • Ingredients, in maintaining overall financial control and managing the risks within the Ingredients area
  • Ensure the inventory stock prices are updated by the business fully and completely and reconcile ingredients inventory to balance sheet.
  • Introduce appropriate checks to ensure accurate reporting
  • Responsibility for accuracy of financial data within systems
  • Preparation of supporting data for the Functional Review Pack
  • Support the budget and forecasting process and influence assumptions
  • Analysis of cream movements and flow through the business
  • Seek to identify improvement in the month end process and monthly reporting
  • Develop effective cross functional working relationships at all levels within the business
  • Support the Head of Ingredients with analysis of business results
  • Support Head of Planning with Cream generation and planning processes and reporting
  • Support the Financial Controller
  • Ingredients in business partnering the Ingredients Team

Key skills & experience:


  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Experience of providing detailed and high level variance analysis
  • Strong IT & Systems knowledge and experience, including Excel. SAP experience preferred
