Description
Riverside Pharmacy is a delivery only pharmacy based in Middlesbrough, TS2 1RP. Riverside Pharmacy offers free Repeat Prescription Service (Prescription Collection & Delivery) to our local customers.

We offer this service for patients registered with Surgeries in Middlesbrough As a distance selling pharmacy we also provide a full range of essential services to persons anywhere in England.


Working week
Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm, Some Saturday work may be required 9am to 6pm


What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties to include:

  • Dispensing medicine
  • General admin
  • Dealing with over the counter and phone enquiries
  • Use of the computer and the pharmacy specific software
  • Checking off and unpacking orders
  • Stock management
  • Date checking of stock
  • Processing NHS prescriptions.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:

  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Inhouse training.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Fulltime permanent role for the right person
  • Further potential for other training such as a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.
