    Role: Head of Marketing

    Location: East London - 3 days in the office + extra 20 WFH days a year to be taken when you like.

    Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

    A responsible, fair and social lender are looking for a Head of Marketing to develop and implement a marketing strategy... and what a company to join

    This lender aims to make sure everyone, from all walks of life, are able to receive the credit they deserve. They are an alternative to the high-cost lending market and want to reduce financial exclusion across the UK - and eradicate pay day lenders and loan sharks.

    They have influenced governance legislation and policy, and have helped hundreds of thousands of people save on interest costs, start businesses and avoid eviction and currently embarking on an ambitions programme of growth and expansion to help the poorest and most excluded.

    Anyway, the role

    You will be their Head of Marketing and will be responsible for developing and implementing their overall marketing strategy across all channels, for new and existing customers.

    The marketing function is in its infancy and you will be reporting into the COO and managing a Digital Marketing Executive. You will work with all areas such of the business such as technology, data and digital, who together are taking the business through a digital transformation so that they can reach and support even more customers.

    The role will be a mix of hands-on work and providing strategic input and you will determine the budget and resource requirements to support the longer-term marketing strategy and function.

    This will be an autonomous role where you can mould the opportunity and area to how you see fit; determining budgets, act as the voice for the company, ensure the quality of creative and media material and build that marketing knowledge and capability with team members.

    As the company are small (but growing) you will be able to really see the impact your work does to the business and customers and the best thing, no red tape or bureaucracy All your ideas will be heard as you will be working directly with the COO and Founder.

    You will be extremely hard pressed to find another opportunity that could offer you the chance to build a Marketing function and gain the amount of exposure you will get at this company - whilst truly changing the lives of the poorest and most excluded.

    So, if you have:

    • The ability to develop the marketing strategy and lead marketing projects and campaigns
    • Experience in all paid, earned and owned digital channels across a range of budgets.
    • Strong experience in digital channels and experience in customer journey analysis and optimisation
    • Have that data-driven approach to marketing
    • Can manage external suppliers and agencies, the team and the marketing budget
