- Collaborate with the commercial team to analyse project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of project scope, materials, labour, and other relevant factors to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to develop detailed cost estimates.
- Review and analyse subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Prepare professional and detailed proposals for submission to clients.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project-related documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transition from estimating to project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fabric project components and processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, RSMeans).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of UK construction regulations and standards preferred.
