The Compass School

Teaching Assistant

Start date:
September 2024 (or earlier)


Contract:
Part Time, Permanent (36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)


Salary:
Grade 3, SP5-6 (FTE £27,030 to £27,438 / Actual £23,119 to £23,468)


The Compass School will educate young people between the ages of 7-16 who have a wide range of Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Many of the pupils may also be on the Autistic Spectrum. The school serves a catchment area that covers Havering and surrounding areas.

The school will also be adding to our network of special schools, alongside Sir Peter Hall School, Bury St Edmund's, Sir Bobby Robson School, Ipswich, The Bridge School, Ipswich and Churchill School, Haverhill.

You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership.

Significant training and development are available through opportunities for professional development, research, teacher training and collaboration between schools and across phases.
