The Company
This is a state-of-the-art food production / food processing facility who are working with cutting edge equipment, technologies and processes to deliver the best in class and most sustainable food to the global consumer market.
They work with some of the leading distributers and suppliers across the UK and Europe and their facility is purpose built and a truly modern engineering and technology showcase.
Exceptionally well-funded and sporting sector leading technologies and processes, they are now in a state of extensive growth and increased production volumes.
The Role
Due to extensive demand growth and expansion within the overall business, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager to lead their flagship food production facility based in Norfolk.
Reporting to the COO, the General Manager will have full site wide P&L responsibility for the provision of all the inputs, labour, materials, planning and utilities as well as supporting and maintaining H&S and food safety compliance in accordance with company / H&S procedures.
The GM will be a key customer figurehead for the business and the contact point for the group executive board in relation to the performance of the site.
The Person
Ideally you will be an experienced Head of Operations / General Manager who has extensive experience within a hygiene driven food production / food processing environment.
You will have had exposure to high care level fresh produce and will have ideally dealt with leading FMCG retailers both operationally and commercially.
With an operational mindset and a drive towards continuous improvement and process / production optimisation, the General Manager will provide the energy and motivation to a highly capable site team to deliver the best in class produce in a robust and repeatable manner.
A strong working knowledge of food and hygiene safety standards as well as Health & Safety will be critical to deliver against the objectives of the role.
