Our client is a market leading innovator in electric technologies with a focus on providing sustainable products to a range of industries such as Automotive, Rail and Industrial.

They are currently looking to strengthen their team with the recruitment of a Principal Power Electronics Engineer based at their North East site in Gateshead.

About the Principal Power Electronics Engineer
Reporting into the Power Electronics Director, the Principal Power Electronics Engineer

You will work across cross functional teams and departments, have a strong awareness of project management, and provide technical expertise, support and advice.

Provide detailed input to the design and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure the product meets all the requirements and make recommendations for product design changes.

Providing technical competence, project escalation, and leading any follow up activities.
Taking ownership of the whole product, providing project leading expertise within cross functional departments.
As Principal Power Electronics Engineer, you will be a degree educated Engineer with extensive industrial experience. Have a strong theoretical knowledge of power electronics, electrical machines and drives
You will demonstrate an outstanding degree of competence, understanding and knowledge across a diverse range of power electronics
Experience of working within automotive, commercial or rail sectors particularly within powertrain systems is advantageous
