Description

An opportunity has arisen to employ an enthusiastic and motivated individual within the Human Resources (HR) Department to work with the HR team who support Learning Disabilities Division and Dental Services Division.

Learning Disabilities Division has specialist teams who provide healthcare for adults with learning disabilities living in the community in their own home, with their family or residential homes and have additional complex needs.

People aged 19 and over with a learning disability can access specialist support to help with complex needs such as epilepsy, challenging behaviour, forensic needs and mental health conditions.

The division also provides short breaks and day services for people needing continuing health care in a specialised environment and residential care is available for people with end-of-life and complex health needs.

There are currently 265 staff in the Division.

Dental Services Division encapsulates community and acute dentistry, the latter being conducted from Birmingham Dental Hospital, Edgbaston, which is home to the University of Birmingham's School of Dentistry, and is one of only 10 dental hospitals in England.

Service provision, education and research form key components, with consultant led dental specialties providing treatment for around 115,000 attendances each year, together with undergraduate and postgraduate training.

Dental Community Services covers a broad geographical area with 16 sites in Birmingham and the Black Country.
