    Department of Children's Services, Specialist Teaching and Support Services,

    Children's Sensory and Physical Needs Service.

    2 x Deaf Instructors (DI) with Deaf Children and Young People

    Band 8/SO1 SCP : £28,770 - £33,945 per annum FTE (actual TTO salary: £24,742 - £29,600 pa) 37 hours per week, term time + one week (39 weeks)

    We are seeking to recruit two experienced, dedicated, and creative Deaf Instructors (DI) to join our team of professionals to work with deaf children across the Deaf and MSI Children Service, in the Local Authority Led Resourced Provisions (LARP) and across the Outreach Team. One post will initially be based at Hanson Delta Academy and onewill initially be based at Girlington Primary School.

    The Deaf and MSI Children Service is a large, enthusiastic, and dynamic team of specialists providing teaching and support for Deaf and MSI children and young people. We work with three schools that host a Local Authority Led Resourced Provision and peripatetically across the Bradford local authority.

  • Ideally you will have experience of working as a Deaf Instructor with deaf children and young people. You must have the ability to demonstrate skills in British Sign Language at a minimum of Level 4 and have a willingness to develop your skills in teaching British Sign Language. There will be opportunity within the service to do this.
