    Animal Therapy Associates - Remote

    Salary: £15 - £30 per hour Contract type: Part-time, Contract Location: Bournemouth, SouthWest BH2

    To work within the online learning portal to assess learners' work in line with qualification specifications and awarding body requirements to maximise opportunities for learners enrolled onto our Animal Faculty courses, specifically Animal Hydrotherapy, Canine Massage or Veterinary Physiotherapy.

    You will support the Head of Faculty and team to achieve the required quality targets and contribute to the academic and operational effectiveness of delivery.

    You will play a vital part in our learner journey and success by being responsive to learner queries to ensure their timely progress and achievement.

    We welcome applicants with relevant qualifications or experience across any of the three subject areas.

    You will hold a UK-recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification and have at least a year's meaningful experience in working within the subject area of animal care and/ or welfare. In addition, you will hold subject specialism qualifications for your chosen subject(s):

    L3 Animal Hydrotherapy

  • A Level 4 qualification in an animal care related subject.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Small Animal Hydrotherapy.
  • A UK recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification.
  • At least a year's meaningful experience in working within the subject area of animal care and/ or welfare.
  • L6 Veterinary Physiotherapy

  • Level 3 Education and Training (including assessing) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Hold a Level 6 in Veterinary Physiotherapy/Small Animal Rehabilitation.
  • Hold a Level 3 Animal Hydrotherapy qualification.
  • Have at least 3 years experience within small animal rehabilitation is necessary to tutor this course.
  • L4 Canine Massage

  • Must hold RQF qualifications in Canine Massage or related at Level 4 or above, or substantial demonstrative professional experience of working in canine massage therapy for at least 5 years.
  • Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Marking of assessments and learner assignment submissions, providing feedback to the learner within 5 working days
  • Provide support to learners by answering their queries, e.g. HubSpot tickets within 3 working days
  • To maintain appropriate subject/expert knowledge in the subject areas for which assessor responsibilities are agreed.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting the progress of learners as required
  • Actively uphold all of the organisation's policies & procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety and GDPR.
  • Attend, and actively contribute, to standardisation meetings as requested by the Head of Faculty
  • Upholding the organisations Internal Quality Assurance processes, working with awarding bodies
  • Provide support to individual assessors and relevant assessment team(s) with course requirements, delivery methodology and assessment.
  • Reporting on monthly IQA reports
  • These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We're looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised teaching or assessment qualification and have experience of tutoring adult learners. In addition, we are seeking applicants who can also undertake IQA duties too.

    We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves tutoring students and assessing their work remotely via our online training portal.

    Rates of pay vary depending on the course and level.

    You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Faculty to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.

    What we are looking for in you (Essential):

  • Tutors must hold a first degree in their relevant subject specialism as a minimum and a full recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience of quality assurance processes and expectations of those conducting assessments, including an awareness of the key principles of awarding body requirements
  • Have an excellent level of written English
  • Experience and qualified in assessing/Teaching
  • Have the ability to problem solve using own initiative
  • Be able to research supportive answers to student questions
  • Be able to provide high quality assessment decision
  • Be digitally skilled in Microsoft Office, email and other commonly used platforms
  • Be proactive and self-motivated
  • Have excellent written communication skills
