    Description
    Group Sales Manager

    To lead the Group Sales Team in providing a highly professional, efficient, and friendly luxury sales experience for group and event business.

    Supporting and assisting the team with handling all group, event and off-site function reactive enquiries for the Resort, which includes but is not limited to corporate conferences, weddings, corporate golf days, incentives, and social events.

    Drive the team to maximise department and resort revenues by ensuring creative, personalised, and effective sales supported by accurate booking, contracting, forecasting and billing.

    In partnership with the HR Department, manage the training and development processes within the team.

    Be responsible for the quality assurance systems, by ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place and kept up to date for all practices.

    Oversee the ongoing development of the department's Resort and role-specific information database.
    Lead the Group Sales team, and oversee their timely responses to event business enquiries.

    Ensure they embrace all opportunities, and appropriately react to sales leads via telephone, e-mail, face-to-face, online engines, and internal communication systems.

    Achieve optimum level of group occupancy, average room rate, banqueting revenue, wedding sales, and leisure revenue to ensure budgeted targets are met.

    Ensure all sales proposals and legally binding contracts created within the department are detailed and highly accurate, proper signatories obtained, all documents issued and processes concluded within appropriate timelines.

    An approachable, friendly, flexible, and supportive demeanour must always be portrayed.
    Maintain relationships with customers, seek future opportunities, organise and lead regular business development projects for the team.

    Establish strong relationships and encourage open communication with the proactive sales department, offering technical advice, sales & product knowledge, and overall support at all times.

    Ensure self and Group Sales Team provide full administrative support for all sales leads presented.

    Encourage, prepare for and confidently carry out thorough and detailed site inspections of the full Resort and off-site facilities for appropriate enquiries.

    Seek opportunities, arrange, and host familiarisation trips and client entertainment, and attend trade shows to assist the Resort in the promotion of events and weddings.

    Oversee the Group Sales team on a daily basis dealing with all business and people challenges as they arise.
    Must be a creative thinker, passionate, enthusiastic, and goal-driven.

    Extreme attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential together with a passion for sales and events.

    Must have good interpersonal and sales-related skills.
    Proven experience in a Sales function, together with having supervised a team preferably within the Hospitality Industry.
