    What we have ahead of us is exciting and unusual, a 'clean sheet' in the majority of areas. In three years, we need to be able to call ourselves an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) who is delivering innovative, lightweight multi-people transit products. We have incredible product foundations and customer led opportunities.

    To support this exciting journey, we're growing our Test and Validation team The role is to deliver Test, Verification and Validation activities throughout the Revolution Very Light Rail (RVLR) programme – A revolutionary product bringing innovation to the rail sector.

    You will support engineering and programme through all stages of development and delivery, taking product requirements to design and execute an effective DVP.

    We are assembling a diverse team with broad experiences. An ideal candidate in this position would thrive with roots in motorsports, rail, automotive or off-highway test & validation environments with a mix of engineering process and hands-on development experience.

    What to expect:

    • Creation of Design Verification Plan through capture and elicitation of product, legislative and DMFEA requirements.
    • Influence and collaborate with engineering on design and verification methods.
    • Identification of test assets and use cases.
    • Development of test methods to validate vehicle robustness and durability in the physical world and support engineering with virtual environment assessments.
    • Set up and execute physical vehicle level tests to verify requirements have been met appropriately.
    • Instrumentation of vehicles and systems
    • Execute vehicle and system level tests
    • Capture and report data to engineering teams and support with analysis of data and development of vehicle systems.

    Who you are and what we are looking for:

    • Experience in a test and validation environment managing and executing DVP activities – experiences mean more than time served. An Engineering Degree is beneficial but not a deal breaker, on-job experience is equally valuable.
    • Someone who is collaborative and influential of engineering teams that can provide real world context to vehicle design.
    • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition on vehicles in dynamic and static environments.
    • Knowledge across multiple vehicle systems including mechanical, thermal LV/HV and energy storage systems with exposure to CAN/LIN serial communication networks.
    • Excited by big challenges and able to work autonomously and make decisions when needed.
