    Our client is one of the world's largest independent investment management firms that serves an institutional client base in over 50 countries.

    As part of the continued growth and development of our client's EMEA Legal team, a new sub-team is being set up to focus on investment management agreements (IMAs) and contracts in a wider sense to provide support to their separate account and sub-advisory clients.

    We are looking for an experienced paralegal or legal professional to focus on the development and implementation of technology in the contracts space, as well as putting in place improvements to ongoing processes to enhance efficiency.

    This is an exciting new position which will offer the right candidate the opportunity to carve out their role and really affect change across the firm.

    What will the role involve?

    • drafting, reviewing, negotiating, filing and organisation of IMAs and other ancillary contracts such as fund documentation, confidentiality agreements, amendment agreements etc;
    • acting as the primary point of contact with the client, the operational and legal teams for support in the area of contracts;
    • developing and implementing technological solutions and efficiencies across contracts and processes.

    What skill sets are we looking for?

    We are looking for a lawyer/legal professional or experienced paralegal with at least 4 years' experience from relevant roles and organisations :

    • you do not have to be a qualified for this role, you can be a non-qualified legal professional working in the investment management or wider contract management space;
    • a legacy of prior experience in asset management is a must and ideally, knowledge of fund documentation (including IMAs) would be beneficial, as well as experience across a wider range of contracts;
    • a proven ability to deal with complex negotiations and cross-border matters; a genuine interest in technology and, ideally, experience in implementing or utilising new technologies to refine processes.

    What softer skill sets are we looking for?

    • Strong commercial acumen and collaboration skills;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
