Key Accountabilities:


  • Take a strategic role in the management and development of the children and families Quality of Practice function
  • Take a strategic role in the management and development of the children and families Performance function
  • Take a lead role in the preparation and coordination of local authority and partnership inspections. Including, the development of partnership selfassessments
  • Develop and influence strong internal and external relationships/partnerships to deliver service development and to oversee improvement and/or change programs across the system with an emphasis on performance and Quality of Practice.
  • Lead, Empower, support, guide, mentor and coach senior managers, commissioners and practitioners to enable them to successfully implement and embed new initiatives particularly focusing upon complex Intelligence led data/performance and quality of practice.
  • Work restoratively with a range of stakeholders and complex interagency groups to ensure the development of effective and aligned strategies and support the embedding of intelligence led decision making and outcomebased performance across the childrenand family's system.
  • Work with complex stakeholders and complex interagency groups to ensure the development of an effective performance and Quality of Practice function.
  • Responsible for conducting and maintaining a Local Authority selfassessment for children and families that supports the development and implementation of business planning processes across the children and family's system.
  • Responsible for the embedding of the reflective learning from observed practice, best practice, independent reviews, complaints and compliments, and case studies and produce reports to improve outcomes for children and families
  • Responsible for an effective performance management and quality assurance framework that enables the children's and family's system demonstrate an outcomebased approach that reflects continuous improvement, selfauditing, consultation & engagement andbuild on intelligence led decision making.
  • Using reflective learning from inspections, reviews and audits to improve continuous practice, performance and commissioning outcomes across children and families
  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of national statistical statutory returns highlighting risks and possible solutions
Some in person meetings required but otherwise home or office based.


The post holder will lead the production of our internal children and families self evaluation and partnership self evaluation for SEND.

Contract initially for 3 months. Strong possibility of extension

Start date as soon as possible.

ull time hours but can work flexible pattern across working week.
