Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Technician to join our Maintenance team of ten in Haverhill, UK.

You will conduct mechanical maintenance activities across the plant and site to ensure we can deliver active pharmaceutical ingredientsto our customers.


Your Responsibilities

  • Provide vital support to the Haverhill site for both reactive and proactive maintenance.
  • Provide specialist mechanical maintenance support.
  • Perform maintenance activities on a range of assets from specialist manufacturing equipment through to vital plant utilities.
  • Uphold the highest standards related to GMP, safety, quality, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to daily safesystemsofwork such as permittowork, safeplanofaction & LOTO.
  • Support the development of knowledge across the team and promote new ways to work.

The EUROAPI Haverhill (UK) site has been established for 40 years and is located 15 miles east of Cambridge and 60 miles north of London, within the golden triangle.

It employs over 250 people and has built a strong reputation in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient(API) Spray Drying and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO).

Haverhill is proud to house the world's largest, continuous production, pharmaceutical spray dryer and performs secondary packaging and release activities for oncology and raredisease medicines supporting global markets.

The site is also developing a contract testing and release facility within its laboratories.


Our Requirements
Core mechanical qualification - City & Guilds / NVQ certificate or equivalent. Experience in manufacturing, regulated industries, pharmaceuticals or chemicals would be preferred.
Excellent communication skills for the purposes of working with stakeholders, suppliers, technical help centers and colleagues.

A team focused mindset supporting the broader maintenance team and organisational goals, taking on overtime when required and supporting the on-call rota Friday-Friday.

Knowledge of ATEX controls, electrical maintenance, machining skills, lathes, pillar drills, welding would all be desirable.
