    Assistant Manager
    YMCA Garstang Pool
    Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week
    £11.23 per hour (hourly rate of pay is subject to change in April 2024)

    As a Assistant Manager what does the role entail:

    Your day will consist of ...

    •Maintaining a high-profile operational presence and a high level of interaction with staff and customers.

    •Assisting the Manager in achieving the financial targets for the facility across all areas of operation.

    •Leading and developing the supervisory team to support the General Manager in achieving organisational aims and objectives.

    •Playing a key role in producing and delivering a marketing and development plan for the centre.

    •Ensuring the implementation of the Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.

    •Implementing systems which ensure the centre is presented, maintained, and operated efficiently.

    •To co-ordinate and oversee the performance of the Centre Supervisors, including their designated areas of specific responsibility.

    •You have experience working within a leisure facility/sector management, within public, private or voluntary sector

    •You have good communication skills both written and verbal.

    •You have a calm personable nature and find appropriate resolutions when handling conflict.

    •You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.

    •You understand the need for confidentiality with a professional and caring approach to work

    •You can work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
