Are you experienced in Accounts Payable?

Are you looking for your next role within a stable and growing business?

Butler Rose is currently looking for someone to join a friendly Accounts Payable team on a ­part time basis (25hrs)

The duties of the role include:

  • Efficient and accurate processing of invoices and credit notes from domestic and overseas suppliers.
  • Calculating additional costs of goods received (Freight & Duty) and apportioning to the value of stock.
  • Matching Goods Received Notes and Purchase orders.
  • Checking and maintaining outstanding Goods Received Notes on a regular basis.
  • Reconciling Supplier Accounts on a monthly basis,
  • Preparation of Biweekly payment runs, including monitoring proforma invoice payments, using an online banking system.
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the AP team to update and document internal controls and procedures for the payables function.
  • Adhoc duties that are required within the AP Team.
  • General administration duties.

Requirements:


  • Proactive individual that has experience in an accounts payable role (preferably with experience working in a business that imports goods).
  • Positive, selfmotivated and able to use own initiative.
  • An individual that thrives working in a busy environment, with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Have a working knowledge of financial accounting processes and controls.
  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Have an enquiring mind with the ability to analyse, and question data.
  • Have a proactive attitude to identify issues and present solutions.
  • Are someone that has good interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and work with colleagues at all levels with varied levels of financial knowledge across the business.
  • Are able to demonstrate strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Are experienced in Microsoft products especially Excel.
  • Are a team player that is comfortable working collaboratively both with the AP team and rest of the finance department in reviewing, improving and implementing process improvements
