Description

Are you experienced in DSEAR regulations and interested in electrical and mechanical engineering? Are you looking to move into a position with responsibility and direct reports? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumental (EM&I) team as a Safety Critical Maintenance Supervisor.


What you'll do:


Day to day, you will be required to take responsibility for all associated tasks and duties in the management of delivering safety-critical maintenance.

This would start with a scope of work and could comprise of reviewing contractor Rams or writing safe systems of work for our internal staff to carry out tasks.

You will work with the EM&I Manager to deliver and manage a strategy to ensure our assets remain compliant.

You will also create and manage objectives within the team, as well as coordinating training and development. You will also support and mentor new starters including the management of apprentices.

You will have a proactive approach and look to carry out tasks as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible, with health and safety at the forefront of everything you do.


You will be required to coordinate and plan complex jobs, dealing with a wide range of people, including external contractors, internal operational teams and the control room.

The job will involve a mix of office and site-based work, including the installation and maintenance on both a planned and reactive basis.

You will also need good admin skills to manage the paperwork required in the delivery and closure of work associated with Compex assets.


What you'll need:


We're looking for someone who has technical understanding and preferably industry experience, as well as great people skills to work effectively with different stakeholders.

You'll need a positive and flexible attitude, while also being willing to sometimes work at different times of the day or night, whether that involves attending emergencies or delivering complex planned works out of hours due to operational constraints.


To be considered, you will have:

  • experience in mechanical or electrical installations
- experience in electrical control systems (PLCs, SCADA systems, etc)
- experience in DSEAR and COMPEX
- good health and safety awareness and experience working with RAMs/permits to work

  • IT competency and experience using Microsoft Office
- experience with Compex 09/10, 11 or 14 (desirable).

You'll be working across a number of sites and offices, so a valid driving licence is essential. A vehicle will be provided.

You will also need to take part in a standby rota.
