Band 2 Clerical OfficerApplicants should demonstrate good IT/keyboard, communication and organisational skills. You will be required to work well under pressure. We treat high volumes of people daily. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Duties will include dealing with referrals; arranging appointments; data entry; telephone enquiries and general office tasks.
You need to be able to provide an optimum level of customer service to patients and staff, both in person and over the telephone.
To take responsibility for good housekeeping in the Therapies Office / Reception / Waiting area, ensuring they are kept clean and tidy.
Experience in the NHS would be preferable, however full training will be given.

Job Summary
To undertake clerical & administrational duties for the Therapies Department based on the Broadgreen Hospital site (Alexandra Wing).
There may be a requirement to work on the Royal site (Therapies Department) if demand requires: working as a team member to support staff and patients across the service.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Clerical & Administrational
1.2 To effectively communicate between staff, patients, carers, other
departments, various companies, and all other health & social care professionals.
1.4To efficiently sort, distribute, monitor and record all Mail, both in-coming and out-going, across all sites using various methods of transport.
1.8 To record and amend clinic sessions/time slots in accordance with Departmental policy for staff Annual Leave / Sickness & Absence.
2.1To comply with Trust Health & Safety Policies, actively participating in Trust Induction and Mandatory Training.
2.2To ensure all hazards & incidents are dealt with effectively and reported according to Trust requirements.
2.3To comply with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott procedures.
2.4To comply with Trust and Departmental policies and procedures.
Education and training development
3.1 To actively participate in own Personal Development Plan and attend all annual reviews.
