    The Opportunity

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Public Health practitioner to become our Healthy Lifestyle Lead.

    About the role

    You will have responsibility for the development and roll out of public health messages, initiatives and campaigns that encourage a healthy lifestyle and will be responsible for sharing this material to individuals, families, schools and partner agencies. You will utilise your knowledge and skills as an experienced Public Health practitioner to implement evidence based best practice. You will be required to work creatively to best engage and meet the diverse health needs of the school-aged population.

    As the Healthy Lifestyle Lead, you will have accountability for facilitating, coordinating and delivering the National Child Measurement Programme across for the service.

    You will have direct line management and supervisory responsibility for members of the skill-mix team and will provide them with professional leadership and support. Completing annual appraisals is an aspect of this role.

    You will be based in one of our hubs in Rugby, Stratford or Nuneaton, and will work across the county.

    Main duties of the job

    About us

    Connect for Health consists of three skill-mix teams based in geographical hubs across Warwickshire. The Service Manager is supported by a Clinical Operations Manager, Practice Educator and three Team Leaders. Skill-mix teams are led by school nurses who hold the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) qualification. Skill-mix teams consist of registered nurses and appropriately qualified practitioners relevant to the range of services offered as part of the universal Healthy Child Programme.

    You will have a proven track record of delivering complex Public Health projects such as the NCMP and community Public Health programmes. You will have aptitude, experience and skill at promoting health and wellbeing messages which will improve health outcomes in children, young people, families and communities. You will have the ability to work independently and flexibly, with strong influencing and leadership skills, together with an innovative approach to developing a range of resources and services to promote healthy lifestyles.

    You will be experienced at data analysis and report writing and will contribute to service monitoring reports. Findings will be shared at both internal and external strategic and operational meetings. You will lead on the analysis of service user feedback for the service.
