The Cloud Centre of Excellence is a set of centralized services and has capability to provide and manage a secure and compliant path for cloud consumption, enable and accelerate cloud adoption, and establish or operate key cloud risks, controls and KPIs including financial operations and team performance.
They will do this by developing, maintaining, and supporting cloud cost management practices, identifying, and driving cloud cost optimization and rightsizing opportunities, supporting cloud-enabled teams responsible for their own workloads through education and data-driven insights, and managing KPIs and controls related to cloud costs.

You will provide FinOps expertise, and assistance to IT leadership, project delivery, technical leads, and engineering teams.
Manage the full lifecycle of subscriptions/budgets/accounts in line with our standards and process.
You will monitor and track spend across Royal London and acting on projected or actual breaches to ensure budgets are managed.
You will lead education and onboarding of technology teams in FinOps processes and responsibilities.Work within the Cloud Engineering team to develop automation for gathering, processing, and visualising cost data.
Work within the Cloud Engineering team to build, maintain, and improve real-time cloud cost and consumption dashboards tailored to audience.
Fostering innovation in FinOps management:
identifying, proposing, and implementing the choice of FinOps tools and processes.
About you
You will have relevant cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP). Proven experience in effective cost management strategies, tools, models, and processes. As well as capability to design and implement FinOps solutions (including cost management and optimization). You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyse and interpret significant amounts of information accurately. You will have excellent communication skills and ability to effectively convey complex ideas tailored appropriately to the audience. Solid understanding of the key drivers, concepts, and language that Finance, Procurement, Service Management and Technology teams use day-to-day.
Experience with using cloud cost management tools (cloud native/3rd party) and data analysis using Excel or advanced analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) to drive actionable insights for cloud customers and senior stakeholders.
Experience of working with cloud tagging and naming schemes to drive accurate allocation and accountability of cloud spend.About Royal London
