    WHAT TO EXPECT
    Physical Modelling is a multi-disciplined department with specialist teams working in both digital and physical specialism.

    We have CAD, Scanning, Additive and Machining, Clay Modelling, Hard Modelling, Electrical, Trim and Paint as well as Project and Business Planning.

    The team is responsible for producing all physical assets used in the Creative development process. Producing anything from small swatches to full show cars. Working with the creative teams across all House of Brands

    There are two aspects to this role Project Lead / Interface – The first is the interface aspect, this is to ensure clear communication to our Creative House of Brand customers and ensure all asset requests are delivered on time, to quality and budget, utilising a small team of skilled people within the DMO organisation and being the single point contact for Senior managers.

    The second aspect is the Project Lead aspect will support the delivery of projects/physical assets used to support the Design product development process.

    Typically, this will involve the identification; planning and co-ordination of specific projects at Gaydon and at suppliers.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR


    • Studio Interface for all projects requested for a specific House of Brand
    • Deliver projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outcomes to support the achievement of strategic business objectives at Gaydon
    • Ensure timely escalation up to director level
    • Manage a small team while maintaining delivery of your own projects
    • Work on projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality and cost
    • Work with the operational business to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions
    • Work with the operational business on where step changes can be introduced and included in the project
    • Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management
    • Support adherence to Operational Acceptance processes, with smooth project transition to Service Delivery
    • Use lean project management principles in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working
    • Undertake and support scenario planning as required
    • Manage stakeholders to ensure projects add value and are aligned to stakeholder expectations
    • Track and measure all live resource projects and report Project metrics to senior management and the area
    • Use wider business experience to guide and help others to identify potential alternative solutions to problems occurring on their projects
    • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
    WHAT YOU'LL NEED


    Essential:

    • Previous experience in a similar role in Project Management with track record of delivery and must include significant use of WRIKE or equivalent planning software
    • Experience working in a creative design studio
    • Management of others
    • Methodical detailed approach to work context
    • Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
    • Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience
    • Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches
    • Ability to manage risks and issues
    • Negotiation and adaptability skills
    • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
