Description
Design Engineer required for a designer and manufacturer based in Gillingham. To create 3D Models and 2D Drawings of Air Handling Units, HVAC Dampers and Inline Ducted equipment and to issue production drawings to the Manufacturing Department


Design EngineerPosition Overview

  • Responsible for ensuring allocated tasks are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with applicable company procedures/policies. Ensuring no activity is conducted that may put any person at risk, directly or indirectly or cause any damage or pollutionto the environmentOversee the CAD Engineering Department
  • Understand approved GA drawings of AHU
  • Produce 3D Models of AHU, Dampers and In Line Duct Equipment
  • Create a pack of production drawings
  • Issue production drawings to Manufacturing department
  • Keep control of each issued drawing and their latest revision
  • Liaise with Project Engineers to interpret Clients requirements
  • Liaise with Engineers to ensure AHU is built to the required standard
  • Give technical advice to the Project Drawing Office
  • Assist the Senior Draughtsman to ensure smooth running of Project D.O.
  • Answer technical questions from Engineers/draughtsman from other Offices
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures to Health and Safety
  • Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills
Perform other duties that may be deemed necessary or appropriate


Design EngineerPosition Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills

Design EngineerPosition Remuneration

  • Salary dependent on experience
