Initial projects they will be working on – Likely schemes include a residential project in Birmingham involving extensive river regeneration works, a high rise building in Cardiff.

Job Description

·leading a project and working as part of a collaborative design team

·mentoring new members of staff

·preparing reports, designs and drawings

·making calculations about loads and stresses

·selecting appropriate construction materials

·providing technical advice

·liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects

·monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors

·administering contracts

·site visits will be required from time to time

Role requirements

·Degree in structural Engineering

·confident representing the business at Client and Design Team Meetings as required.

·Chartered status (near Chartered)

·Ideally experience working in concrete and use of Tekla
