    We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work in the laboratory of Prof Brendan Wren in the Infection Biology Department.

    The new appointee will work on a project to develop pig vaccines against Strep suis.

    The successful applicant will have a degree in a relevant area of biological sciences, proven laboratory experience in molecular biology as well as in general laboratory techniques and demonstrable expertise in bacterial glycoengineering.

    The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and is available from 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2026.

    The salary is on the Academic Pathway Grade 5 scale in the range £38,282 to £43,947 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting).

    The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary "Wellbeing Days". Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
