The Headteacher of a large secondary school in Barking and Dagenham is looking for an accomplished Senior teacher who is ready to take on additional responsibility as an Assistant Headteacher this September.

For this post, you must be a career-minded senior teacher who has outgrown their current remit or an existing professional Assistant Headteacher who has more to offer who can show a commitment to whole school improvement.

The right applicant will have areal aptitude for training their colleagues and ensuring high standards are always met. You must be hardworking, flexible, and motivated. Being a team player with excellent interpersonal skills is a must for this role. Good verbal communication skills includingability to communicate effectively with carers and parents with the ability to take the initiative.


This Assistant Headteacher post has become available as the school have promoted internally and are looking to add quality to their SLT.

The role will involve developing your own ideas for whole school progression and overseeing the development & resourcesof at least one curriculum area across the school.

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will also line manage a team for KS3, take part in exceptional CPD and deliver training programmes aimed at progressing everyone in your team.

You will be Able to lead by example,be highly driven, motivated and motivate other staff.

The ability to effectively delegate responsibilities to others in the school team, to ensure the successful operations of the areas of responsibility is essential.


This is a "Good" graded school found in Barking and Dagenham, the school is easily accessible with good road access and a large car park onsite, the nearest station offers Overground services into East London.
