    Staff Nurse - Intensive Care | Tunbridge Wells Hospital


    The Intensive Care and High Dependency Units at Tunbridge Wells Hospital are now recruiting Band - Staff Nurses to join their team.


    The Intensive Care department has a total of 17 modern and spacious single rooms, with 9 Intensive Care beds and 8 High Dependency beds.


    You should be highly motivated, have good communication and interpersonal skills, be committed to ongoing personal and professional development and have the ability to work collaboratively as part of the Multidisciplinary Team.

    Responsible for the assessment of needs, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the delivery of a high-quality service to the critically ill patient and their relatives, in conjunction and supervision with senior staff.

    The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of junior staff within the department and to ensure that they develop/enhance their own skills and knowledge appropriately within role expectations.

    The programme is full-time (please email mtw- if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.

    Registered Nurse with the NMC
    Evidence of continuing professional development

    Accredited Intensive Care Course/HDU course.
    Acute care experience

    Post registration experience ideally within Intensive Care
    Previous placement in Critical Care area

    The ability to maintain a continuous concentration, and be flexible and adaptable, to the complex and unpredictable needs of the patient allocated to their care during the shift.
