Legacy and In Memory Development Manager (Central and South England), joining a well-known National Charity. Open to Homebased, Hybrid or Office based, depending on preference.


As the Legacy and In Memory Development Manager, working with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Giving and the wider Legacy and In Memory Giving team, you will be responsible for developing regional approaches to increase the number of supporters who includea gift in their Will or a gift in memory of a loved one, raising awareness of the importance and impact of this type of giving to a wider audience.

Leading a team of Legacy and In Memory Leads and Assistants across Central and South England regions, you willbe responsible for;

  • Developing and executing the regional Legacy and In Memory Giving plan. Managing and developing the Legacy events portfolio across the UK, focused on delivering new Legacy pledgers, intenders and enquirers, and maximising opportunities to reach supportersin all regions of the UK.
  • Further build the In Memory events offering, as well as leading development of In Memory supporter journeys across all communities, ensuring In Memory supporters receive the very best experience, care and support.
  • Develop integration plans with the team to ensure gifts in Wills and In Memory messaging is fully integrated across all regions.
  • Support your team of Legacy and In Memory Leads and regional teams, with developing new opportunities for engagement and stewardship.
  • Work with the Legacy and In Memory Marketing team, to deliver internal Legacy awareness campaigns aimed at increasing knowledge of gifts in Wills
  • Manage a team of Legacy and In Memory Leads and their assistants across your region.
  • Manage budgets for community Legacy and In Memory activity across your region and contribute to the overall Legacy and In Memory marketing budget.


This is a fantastic team and role We are looking for you have a demonstratable track record in legacy fundraising/marketing, developing strategy and the ability to achieve financial and non-financial targets.

Ideally experience of working with regionalfundraising teams. With experience of building and developing relationships at multiple levels, both with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be able to drive a car for occasional travel.

Salary is £34,820 - £36,820 per annum (plus London Allowance of £3,500 if applicable). Also, access to the company car scheme, location dependant.
