Manufacturing Futures are working with an established business in South Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer.

In this role you will be exposed to various stages of the product lifecycle from defining the specification with thecustomer, prototyping, manufacture and commissioning with the customer.

You will be joining a successful business who are offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to develop unique products from the ground up.

We are looking for an engineer who hasa good understanding of basic mechanical design principles, enjoys solving engineering problems, has worked on designs from first principles and is a confident communicator.


Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities -AutoCAD / Mechanical Design / Sheet Metal / Fabrication / 3D / Design

  • Design of mechanical products as per the customer specification
  • Development of new products
  • Working closely with customers and their engineering departments to understand their requirements
  • Producing drawings, specifications and technical reports which may include performance and failure investigation

Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - AutoCAD / Mechanical Design / Sheet Metal / Fabrication / 3D / Design

  • A minimum of 12 months industry experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • A relevant qualification in a Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent understanding of general mechanical design principles
