    Exciting Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

    This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities within procurement and the medicines supply chain for a large hospital trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will lead teams, implement quality improvements, and ensure MHRA compliance. Your duties will include managing procurement processes, overseeing distribution, and maintaining automated dispensing systems.

    • Manage Purchasing, Distribution & Stores
    • Maintain MHRA WDA Licence Compliance
    • Implement Continuous Quality Improvements
    • Operate Automated Dispensing Systems
    • Perform Prescription Accuracy Checks
    • Support Chief Pharmacy Technician

    Job Responsibilities:

    Procurement

    - Manage drug purchasing efficiently

    - Develop and implement SOPs

    - Ensure compliance with SFIs

    - Represent Trust in regional procurement meetings

    - Contribute to savings initiatives

    - Collaborate with Cheltenham General Hospital

    Automated Services

    - Manage Automated Dispensing System

    - Lead system maintenance

    - Provide specialized training

    - Develop contingency plans

    - Liaise with engineers and BD

    Distribution and Stores

    - Ensure WDA compliance

    - Project manage process changes

    - Manage staff and rotas

    - Maintain Health and Safety standards

    - Coordinate ward stock requirements

    - Respond to MHRA recalls

    Dispensary (as per agreed rota)

    - Perform accuracy checks

    - Label and dispense medications

    - Organize compliance aids

    - Track prescriptions
