Health and Safety ManagerSalary:

The RoleBeing an instrumental part of the Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for guaranteeing a secure and healthy environment that adheres to all laws and regulations currently in place as well as future proofing for additional changes. This position is the next pivotal hire for the business and fundamental in ensuring that productivity prospers without negatively impacting employee's efficiency. Having a demonstrable background withing manufacturing is critical within this role.
Further to the above your role will involve:
Developing and enforcing health and safety policies and leading safety initiativesConducting regular risk assessments, providing strategic recommendations and liaising with insurers to mitigate business risksEnsuring legal compliance, reporting obligations and contractor safetyCollaborating with maintenance teams for equipment complianceProviding health and safety training, supporting managers, and ensuring induction and refresher training adherenceInvestigating incidents, determining root causes and implementing preventive actionsDeveloping and maintaining emergency response plans and conducting drills for emergency readinessPerforming regular safety inspections and audits, maintaining records and updating first aid boxesFostering positive safety culture, encourage employee involvement and play a visible role in health and safety leadershipPreparing and submitting health and safety reports, maintaining accurate records and managing the budgetsIdentifying opportunities for safety improvement and implementing initiatives for enhanced safety performance Our Ideal CandidateAt this stage in your career you will have a demonstrable background within manufacturing, ensuring a safe working environment is absolutely at the forefront of everything you do.
